Hospital Services

All Pets Including Exotics
The staff at Zoot is expertly trained to care for dogs, cats and small exotic pets. Dr. Zeh has been treating exotic pets, such as reptiles, birds and small mammals, since graduating from Texas A&M’s veterinary school in 1993.
Efficient Design
Zoot Pet Hospital was designed and built to accomodate 5-6 full time veterinarians and a large support staff. The building has 6 exam rooms, a large treatment area, surgery suite, digital x-ray room, ultrasound and special procedures room, a large-windowed ICU suite, a separately vented isolation area, dental procedures area, full service pharmacy, and an in-house laboratory. A full in-house laboratory is available for quick diagnosis. Furthermore, a digital x-ray machine and ultrasound will also aid in timely diagnosis so that the appropriate treatment can be initiated.
Focus on Preventive Medicine
Preventative medicine for your pet will be emphasized at Zoot Pet Medical Center so that potential problems can be avoided before they occur. Annual wellness exams for younger pets along with a vaccination review will be recommended. Wellness blood profiles are also important on younger pets to establish a baseline for future comparison. In addition, all dogs, cats and ferrets should receive year-round heartworm and flea protection. Dental care is another form of preventative medicine that can start at home with your pet. Regular dental exams and cleanings, if necessary, will help ensure your pet will live a long healthy life. Older pets will need physical examinations every 6 months after 6-7 years old. Once yearly, comprehensive senior lab workups are recommended in order to catch disease processes before the pet becomes symptomatic. If caught early, many diseases can be cured or controlled, adding longevity and quality of life for your pet.
Experienced Staff
Zoot Pet Hospital was created to care for sick and injured pets. Most medical and surgical cases will be treated by the experienced Doctors and staff of Zoot Pet Hospital, although, certain cases can be referred to the specialty hospital in Round Rock. Emergency cases will be treated during business hours and referred to a local emergency hospital after hours.
